As the warmer weather approaches the decision on what to wear will be the big question

The Maxi Dress
A classic wardrobe staple piece worn with flat shoes during the door and in the evening styled with a sexy pairs of heels or wedges. The shops are over flowing with styles for everybody shape.

Pleats (Dresses and Skirts): Lightweight floaty fabrics in chiffon, crepe tulle and anything sheer will be bang on trend.  A lightweight pleated maxi can be worn either dressed up or down. Maxi skirts and dress, knee length dresses took the catwalks by storm.  Beware that school girl boxy pleats in heavy material are not on trend

70's fashion: This is a must, whatever your style you will find something for your taste.

The shops are full of wide leg flowery trousers and jumpsuits, wearing one of these you will be bang on trend. Vintage Queens will be in heaven as Vintage clothing for them has never gone out of fashion. More and more women are turning to Vintage shops to buy their clothes.  Buying vintage will mean that you will find something unique and quirky and of course you will be talk of the town.  People will be giving you compliments and asking you where they can get the exact item from but alas, your item is a one off.

High waisted wide-leg trousers, worn with a smart belt, pussy bow blouses especially with billowing or bishop sleeves. Roll neck sweaters tucked into an A-line skirt of hip waisted trousers worn with layers of long beads and a waistcoat.  If you are very daring hot pants, with knee length socks, platform shoes, a suede tasseled waistcoat and topped off with a big wide brim floppy hat..

For a night out chose high sheen fabrics with a 70's disco inspired edge - lurex or silk and anything with a metallic thread. Long, silky maxi dresses with low necklines (don't forget to wear correct fitting underwear and of course toupee tape to hold the neckline in place - no spillage allowed).

Jumpsuits: Last year it was playsuits or rompers trends continues in similar vain this season but the bottom half are now with a wide leg longer fuller length. The focus is on colour with a variety of prints and solids with a relaxed feel for daytime worn with flat shoes and dressed up with wedge shoes for that evening of socialising with friends for drinks and dinner

Lace: This is s is not a new tend as it has spanned many seasons.  Antique-style lace either a full dress, skirt or top but just a snippet of lace of these items you will still be bang on trend.

White clothing:This year the high street has windows have gone crazy for white clothing.  Be warned nude or skin colour underwear should be worn.  Too many times I have seen white lace knickers (including thongs) under a white dress/skirt/trousers

Wide leg trousers/bell bottoms: Whatever term you like to use, the skinny jean is no longer making a fashion statement. Make your own statement with a pair.  High waisted teamed up with a nice skinny belt is a true classic look. Wide leg trousers suit most body shapes especially pear shaped ladies as they balance out your hips and also ladies with large thighs.  But make sure that the trousers are not too tight on the thighs, in fact they should skim the thighs. Get a size bigger and get the waisted altered by a professional tailor. Gapping waistbands just add bulk to your waist line and look unsightly under your clothes.

Wide leg jeans: Ideal for fashionistas everywhere. celebrities love them and have been spotted in them.  Be warned - wear them with high wedges as they can swallow up your legs and drown them if you are petit.

Footwear........

Gladiator and strappy sandals. Gladiators continue to be a very trendyshoe design. These come in high heel, wedge and flat versions. For fans of more delicate styles strappy sandal trend is also available.

Platform wedges: Wedges are hotter than ever. There are modest wedges which are fantastic for everyday wear, espadrille styles, and the gorgeous but high designs can be worn in the evening.

Flatform Heels: This can be the first time you have ever heard of flatform shoes which, as the name suggests, is a combination of a platform heel and flat shoes. The new term  refers to flats that are elevated on a high platform heel, held on by an ankle strap. Everyone, from Chanel, Prada and Chloe to Vivienne Westwood, has sent them down the catwalk and it's been dubbed the shoe for 2011. Flatforms do not look very elegant or sophisticated but they do provide great comfort to wearer.

Pumps and stilettos. high-heeled shoes come in a great variety of colors, from crazy and eye popping hues to reserved and even dull tone.  Not chosen for comfort but still on trend

The Plimsole: The humble plimsole is hitting all the fashion headlines this season.  The rubbery and trainer like form has been around for many years, even decades. Over the years the plimsole has been seen on my women from celebrities to your neighbour in a variety of colours and fabrics from leather to canvas to satin. Converse, some would agree are the original classic plimsole and the most popular but fear not a trip down the thigh street you'll find a huge selection to meet the sizeof your wallet

Colour Trends: Every season we see the catwalks setting the trends with a wash of colour. So what colours will be trendy during Spring/ Summer 2011? The key to wearing colour is understanding what suits your skin tone. Olive skin and black skin look delicious in bright colours like yellow and fuchsia.

Light grey and stone: While grey and stone tints could be be considered dull and boring but teamed up with other tones will rock your wardrobe. If not confident wearing grey try accessories.

Lemon: Lemon in all its possible variations looks great. From very pale to saturated, lemon colour.

Blue and navy: Blue is a fantastic colour in terms of using it in clothing. Garments of this tone become universal pieces as it is easily teamed up with other tones and prints

Floral prints:. A hot trend for this summer from blurred and indistinct floral prints to huge flower prints, the choice is endless.

Stripes: Stripes are huge this summer. Prada experimented with black and blue, and orange and black

Polka dots: Stick to tiny dots on printed dresses or blouses so you won't end up looking like Minnie Mouse

Deep purple and bright pink: Designers played with deep purple, dark violet, and neon pink on the catwalks

Orange: It's vibrant and energetic and seems to be the most exciting colour trend of Spring/ Summer 2011 try pairing with softer hues and combined those with neutral colors like black and beige making outfits more versatile.
